Tata Punch EV New Model update: The new Tata Punch EV is now the fully electric version of the already popular micro-mantra super from Tata. There are various variants, including Tata Punch EV among others; namely Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered+. Smart and Smart+ are the basic to entry-level variants; hence their features and trim include digital instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment system, and connected car technology. Tata Punch EV Battery Range
In Tata’s Punch EV, there will be 2 battery pack options, one with 25 kWh for the standard range, and another with 35 kWh for the long-range variant. The standard range model gives an approximate driving range of 315 km, while the long-range variant can travel up to 421 km on a single charge. Thus, with these ranges, Punch EV makes it one of the most efficient electric SUVs in its class.
Tata Punch EV Performance
In performance, electric motor in the standard range puts out 80 bhp and 114 Nm of torque, while the long-range version is rated at 122 bhp and 190 Nm of torque. Torque is delivered instantly so that the drive experience is as smooth but powerful as it gets through city commutes. Punch EV batteries support fast charging and can be charged from 10 to 80 percent with a DC fast charger in just 56 minutes. An AC home charger can bring it to full in about 9 hours for the standard variant and 11 hours for the longer range variant.
Tata Punch EV Pricing And Availability
Tata Motors has set a relatively reasonable entry point for the Punch Electric Vehicle, making it one of the more affordable electric SUVs in India. For example, the Smart base model starts from ₹10.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to ₹15.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-end Empowered prospered variant. Tata has different prices in accordance with the battery pack and variant selection. Tata now has special financing schemes under the government’s EV policies making it yet another excellent option to consider for prospective buyers considering going electric.
