It has been under appraisal for many days on age change in retirement for central employees. It is also said that the retirement age of employees will increase. Meanwhile, it is also said that the retirement age will change. Union Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh has responded.
Response Came In Writing
So the Union Minister has given such written response. As per the Union Minister, there is no policy to close the vacancies caused because of retirement of employees. Hence Union Minister also put an end on speculation by answering on the retirement age.
This Answer Came On The Proposal
The Union Minister answered in hypocrisy on Wednesday in the Lok Sabha, stating that there was no change in the retirement age for its employees. There is no such proposal. Not even being considered.
Have The Employees Raised Demand?
The Union Minister made it clear that there is no proposal under examination regarding change of retirement age for the government employees. It was also asked whether the employees raised any demands upon their retirement. On this Jitendra Singh said that proposal has not been received from such employees.
There Is Inequality In The Retirement Age
Presently, there exist disparities in the retirement age between the central and state governments within the country. On this question, he said that the central government does not keep such data. He said that this subject is of the state’s list.
At Present, This Is The Age Of The Employees
The present age of retirement for Central Government employees is 60 years. The retirement ages vary according to different fields like education and scientific research; these are almost different from the retirement age of 65 years. Meanwhile, in the states, governments themselves determine the retirement policies for their employees.
