Railway Guidelines: Indian Railways keeps trying to provide good facilities to its passengers from time to time. If you also travel by train, then this news is very important for you. Changes have been made by the department regarding those traveling by train. Let us know about this new guideline of Railways in detail.

Night Sleeping Rules In Train

Earlier passengers could sleep for a maximum of 9 hours during night travel. But now this time has been reduced to 8 hours. Earlier passengers were allowed to sleep in AC coach and sleeper from 9 pm to 6 am. But according to the rules changed by the Railways, now you will be able to sleep only from 10 pm to 6 am. That is, now the sleeping time has been reduced to 8 hours. This change will be applicable in all trains which have sleeping arrangements.

If you also travel by train, then you will have to follow the new sleeping time. Apart from this, if a passenger of the upper or middle berth is sitting on your berth late at night during the train journey, then you may have trouble sleeping. According to the rule, you can ask these passengers to go to their berths between 10 pm to 6 am. Similarly, if a passenger of the middle berth opens his berth during the day, then you can refuse him.

New Rules Of Railways

No passenger can talk on mobile loudly in his seat, compartment or coach. No passenger can listen to music loudly without earphones. No passenger will be allowed to turn on light except night light after 10 pm. Online food in train services will not be served after 10 pm.

However, you can pre-order your food or breakfast in the train even at night with e-catering service. Moreover, smoking, drinking alcohol and any activities and carrying any inflammable items are not allowed in the train compartments and these are against the rules of Indian Railways.
