Maruti Swift EV Update 2025: The Maruti Swift EV is touted to be Maruti’s first electric hatchback and is set to deliver clean performance, high-tech features, and great range in India. Based on the popular design and platform of the Swift, this electric model would be a strong competitor in the growing EV segment based on the efficient yet affordable nature that this car possesses. 

Maruti Swift EV Varient 

The Maruti Swift EV will be available in different variants, according to Maruti Suzuki, to satisfy the demands of different customers. While official specifications of the vehicle are yet to be announced, it should generally have two battery pack options allowing for two range settings:

  • Standard Range (SR) – A smaller battery pack option for city driving and daily commutes.
  • Long Range (LR) – A bigger, heavy-duty workhorse battery for those interested in extended range and highway driving.

The Maruti Swift EV could be expected to come in four trims – LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+ foreshadowing its petrol model.

Maruti Swift EV Battery, Range, And Performance

It is thought that the Maruti Swift EV will have a battery based on lithium-ion technology, allowing a standard variant with a range of about 250-300 km per charge and an LR variant with a range of 400 km. The electric motor is expected to churn out 80-100 PS of power, assuring one of the drive smoothness and efficiency.

Maruti Swift EV Charging Capabilities

Maruti Swift EV not only supports AC home charging but also DC quick charging. A battery can be charged from 10 to 80% in about 45 minutes with a DC fast charger, while fully charging with a normal AC charger is expected to take around 6-8 hours.

Maruti Swift EV Equiped With Technology

Maruti Swift EV is expected to be fully packed with modern features and premium technology to make the journey much more interesting, and it may even be integrated with Floating Touchscreen Infotainment System, including wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, in addition to a fully digital instrument cluster that signifies battery status, range, and driving modes.

It may feature Automatic climate control, Connected Car tech, Wireless charger, Keyless entry, Push-start, among others. The EV model may also feature regenerative braking technology that enhances energy recapturing when braking, thereby making it more energy-efficient.

The Maruti Swift EV Safety Features

Another key area of concern would be expected advanced safety features packed into the Suzuki Swift EV. These could include multiple airbags, abs with ebd, electronic stability control, rear parking camera, and many more. The reinforced body structure will ensure better safety in terms of crash protection on roads.

Maruti Swift EV Price In India

The price of Swift EV is also going to be somewhere between ₹10-12.5 lakh ex-showroom, making it one of the cheapest electric hatchbacks on the Indian market. However, the exact price will vary according to the different models and battery packs chosen, with a small premium for the long-range variant.
