1. Check your EPF Balance Using The EPFO Portal  

Below is how employees are to check their PF balances online under the EPFO Member e-Sewa portal:  

  1. Open the official website of EPFO at [https://www.epfindia.gov.in](https://www.epfindia.gov.in).  
  2. Click on For Employees under Services.   
  3. Choose Member Passbook and log in under UAN (Universal Account Number) and Password.  
  4. After logging in, select your PF account to see your balance & transaction details.  

2. Check EPF Balance By SMS  

You can receive SMS updates about your PF balance, provided your UAN is linked with Aadhaar, PAN and Bank Account. Here is the procedure:  

  • Type an SMS in this format: EPFOHO UAN ENG and send it to **7738299899.
  • Replace ENG with your favorite language code to get messages in different languages (HIN for Hindi, TAM for Tamil, etc.).  
  • You will receive an SMS about your latest balance and EPF account details.  

3. Check EPF Balance Through Missed Call  

  • If all details are matched above, check the balance by missed call. Call up 9966044425 from your registered mobile number.  
  • Call will be through for a few rings, after which it will be dropped.  
  • An SMS will get sent to you mentioning your PF balance.  

4. Check EPF Balance Using The UMANG App  

UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) allows keeping an EPF balance as well as all the access to government service:  

  1. Download and install UMANG app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.  
  2. Register using your mobile number linked to UAN.  
  3. Click on EPFO, then select View Passbook.  
  4. Enter your UAN to check PF balance.  

5. Check EPF Balance Via EPFO WhatsApp Service

EPFO has now started a WhatsApp-based service for balance inquiries. Send a Hi message to that EPFO WhatsApp no, assigned in your region. Your PF balance details shall be sent to you instantly.
