The Government Is Clear On This

The government has been stated clearly several times that DA for 18 months of employees stopped during the Corona period will not be released. The clear reason given is it to solve the economic crises in the country. Hence, no such decision is made about the DA arrears at the moment and no such proposal is pending. No such plan to release this amount is made by the government.

The Budget Brought The Shock

The employees were hopeful of the much-awaited update regarding the 18 months’ delay in dearness allowance, but were sorely disappointed. Now, the employees believe that very soon the 18 months’ DA and dues would be cleared. So far, the organization has also written to Prime Minister Modi demanding the payment of dearness allowance. It is believed that the government may continue to deposit the 18 months of DA dues into the employees’ accounts anytime now.

The Government Will Announce This Shortly-

Central employees are assuming that the government will soon give the DA of the central employees stopped during the Corona period and will soon announce it. This is because, at that time, the economy of the country was in danger, and so, to take care of the situation, the government had stopped the dearness allowance of government employees for 18 months. Since then, employees are constantly demanding DA of 18 months along with arrears. The way this government has provided a surprise for the formation of the 8th Pay Commission is being discussed among employees that in the same manner, the government will soon announce the release of 18 months’ pending dearness allowance.

DA Will Be Increased By This Much

DA increase is determined by the annual data on All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI). Presently, on an assumption basis, data collected till December indicates that dearness allowance will rise to 3 percent on January 2025. At present, central employees are entitled for 53 percent dearness allowances, while inflation figures have been derived as above 55.50 percentages. This will be rounded and counted as 56 percent. After further increase of 3 percent in dearness allowance of employees, it will reach 56 percent.
