Current Status Of Minimum Wage 

Currently, the minimum pay rate in the state of Haryana is Rs 11,001 per month. Whereas the payment for a skilled employee ranges from Rs 12,736 to Rs 13,372. For a highly skilled worker, this is a value of Rs 14,041. Thus, the revision of minimum wages takes place every 6 months.

Demanding The Revision Of Wages By The Labour Union

Regional minister, Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, Jammu, on behalf of Pawan Kumar, requested in a meeting, between Nayab Saini and the Chief Minister, to consider raising the minimum wage to Rs 25,000 per month. “It has become extremely important now than at any other time to raise the salaries according to the cost of living and the needs of the workers as per inflation,” he stated.

Government Steps In Other Comparative States

Haryana co-minister added that it would be prudent for the Haryana government to evaluate minimum wage fixation of states where scripted minimum wages are more than Haryana’s. This will help enhance the economic security of workers in the state.
