Central Employees Get The Gift Of Increase In DA, DA Will Be Rs 78000 

After more than half a year of waiting, the DA declaration for lakhs of central government employees is expected to be made soon. This is a good news or gift for those employees, as DA is going to be directly beneficial from this payout, retroactive to those employees from January 1, thus DA will be paid with all the arrears. Everyone’s Eye is on the Meeting Decision-

As per fresh updates, the central government can make a huge announcement regarding the January 2025 DA sometime in March before Holi. The 7th Pay Commission will work on this increase. However, there is no official confirmation on it from the government yet, though claims are also coming that employees may get a DA revision before Holi. A cabinet meeting is set to take place tomorrow on Wednesday, where an important decision regarding this might be taken, and all eyes shall be waiting on the decision of that meeting. Big news on the 8th Pay Commission may also follow for the employees.

This time, the DA may increase by this much percentage-

The increase will be from 2 percent to 3 percent this time. Currently, the DA is set at 53 percent. In the last year, the DA increased an additional 7 percent via two hikes. So this time it can go up to 56 percent. Once it is granted, it will be effective from January 1, 2025, with arrears in case of delay.

Your Salary Will Rise by the Following Amount Once the DA Is Increased-

The calculation of the employees’ salary will be determined by the increase of DA. Assuming a 3% hike in DA, total DA will stand at 56%. An employee whose basic pay is Rs. 50,000, currently enjoys a total salary of Rs. 76,500 with 53 percent DA; with 56 percent DA, this will go to Rs. 78,000. Therefore, there will be a rise of Rs. 1,500 in DA.
