Payment dates and amounts for South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) grants for March 2025 have been made public. Grants are a source of livelihood for millions of South Africans, and knowing when they will be available is very important for beneficiaries planning their financial calendar.

SASSA Grant Payment Dates For March 2025
SASSA has a systematic payments schedule by which granting is done on specific days of the month. This is the confirmed schedule for grant payments in March 2025:
- Older Persons Grant – Monday, 3 March 2025.
- Disability Grant – Tuesday, 4 March 2025
- Children’s Grant (All Child-Related Grants) – Wednesday, 5 March 2025.
- Foster Care Grant – Wednesday, 5 March 2025
- Care Dependency Grant – Wednesday, 5 March 2025
- War Veterans Grant – Monday, 3 March 2025.
- Grant-in-Aid – Tuesday, 4 March 2025
- SRD R350 Grant – Paid in batches from 6 March 2025 onwards
The older persons will have their repayments done first, followed by disability and child grants. The SRD R350 grants will be paid out separately, usually in batches throughout the month.
SASSA Grant Amounts For March 2025
The amounts of SASSA grants are subject to change from time to time, but these are the expected amounts for March 2025:
- Older Persons Grant at R2,180 for below 75 years, and R2,200 for 75 years and older
- Disability Grant at R2,180:

The amounts mentioned above from time to time are reviewed by SASSA, and beneficiaries will, therefore, need to keep abreast of any increases that might be announced in the 2025 Budget Speech.
How To Collect Your SASSA Grant
Besides the means stipulated in the previous section, the beneficiaries who are receiving thereafter the SASSA grants may avail of:
- Bank account deposits (recommended for safety and convenience).
- Cash collection at Postbank & retail stores (Pick n Pay, Boxer, Shoprite, Checkers, Spar)
- SASSA Gold Card withdrawals: at ATMs.
